My Bloody Valentine - new album

My Bloody Valentine are a legendary shoegaze(=walls of guitar, vocals low in the mix) band from Ireland. They formed in 1983 and have released two albums that became the genre's landmark albums.
Especially "Loveless", their second album, that was released in 1991, has been hailed as a classic album and has influenced a lot of other artists. Check out some tracks off the album here:

Sadly the band split up after this masterpiece but a lot of people were pleasantly surprised in 2007 when the band reunited and played some live shows again. Kevin Shields, who is the guitarist and singer of the band, also announced that My Bloody Valentine were working on the follow up to "Loveless", which is 20 years old by now. But until now this album has not been released. A lot of people speculate that this is due to Shields' perfectionism when recording music. The band went through countless engineers and studios to finish "Loveless".
I'm one of the people eagerly awaiting this album and it's ok with me if it takes a bit longer because I know it will be really epic when it's out. I hope I won't have to wait another 20 years though.
