Beyonce - 4

Beyonce is about to release her fourth studio album called "4"(who would have thunk that). The official release date is June 24 but there already was a single and a video released. "Run The World (Girls)" kind of mixes Major Lazer's "Pon De Floor" with Beyonce's own pop and R&B style. Lyrically it's about the power of females (obvious from the title). It's not the first single from Beyonce about this topic, so it's nothing new I guess. I like the way she performs it though: very aggressively and with a lot of energy. Overall the song is a bit boring to me though, I'd like to see something different, I don't want another sequel to something.
The album title kind of suggests that it's just her fourth album, like saying "don't expect anything radically different from me". I like the cover though, Beyonce still looks fresh and exciting. There's not even an official tracklist yet so don't bother searching for a leak already. I will post updates here though!
I just hope there will be an edgier single out soon, until that I'm not sure if I even want to listen to this...

    I'm not really a fan personally, but her music really probably isn't marketed toward someone like me. It's got to be good stuff for people who are interested, though.

    Beyonce's been doing the same old, same old since she was in Destiny's Child in the 90's. I guess if what you do sells, don't change it.
